Just because you hear about so many people having this disease doesn’t give you the right to say, “it’s not that serious a lot of people have it.” I hate how easy and simple it looks in the eyes of someone who hasn’t had it affect them directly. Saying that one of your relatives has it and “their fine” means nothing to me. More than likely your relative is either older then you or you’re just not that close with them so you wouldn’t understand the daily battles they go though. For a diabetic everyday is a fight you against your body, and everyday you have to tell yourself keep holding on because if you don’t it will just lead to something else failing in your body. It’s physically and mentally exhausting.
